Cupi – the newest vineyard of Cantina LaSelva

In 2014, a 3.2 ha vineyard in Cupi was purchased, 100 m above sea level. The vines were planted in 2001 (the rows are 3 m and 0.8 m apart). The vineyard is situated on a slope with a southern orientation.

In addition to the typical wild animals of Tuscany, there are also many bees: Alessandro, a fellow beekeeper, is thus pursuing his passion here among the vineyards.

Here it is Sangiovese and a little Vermentino that are grown. Since the vineyard is still in conversion to the biological (organic) agriculture, these grapes will bear the organic seal only starting in 2017.

A well-known winery close to this new vineyard, is Col di Bacche.
